Welcome to the website of "The Gem City Sigmas" of Nu Phi Sigma Dayton Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated. We are a distinguished group of dedicated men who have been serving the Dayton community with relentless commitment since our establishment in 2007. Our fraternity is deeply rooted in three fundamental principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service, which guide our actions and decisions in all aspects of life.

As esteemed members of the Nu Phi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., we strongly believe in our fraternity's motto: "Culture for Service, Service for Humanity". Through our various initiatives and programs, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of people in our community, working towards a common goal of serving humanity.

NU PHI SIGMA CHAPTER HISTORY

On the historic day of April 22, 2007, five young African-American men, who were all initiates of Nu Chapter of Central State University, came together to establish Nu Phi Sigma Chapter in Dayton, Ohio. Their vision was to serve their community more effectively by promoting brotherhood, scholarship, and service. These men, namely Bro. Hosea Carter, Bro Kalon Chance, Bro. Dwight Gooden, Bro Dustin Jeter, and Bro. Joe Patterson, were determined to make a positive impact in their community, and they were willing to face any challenge that came their way.

Despite facing many obstacles, these men remained steadfast in their commitment to their vision. They worked tirelessly to build a strong foundation for their organization, drawing inspiration from their shared experiences and values. Their hard work and dedication paid off, and the Nu Phi Sigma Chapter became a beacon of hope and inspiration for the Dayton, Ohio community.

Through their various initiatives and programs, the Nu Phi Sigma Chapter has made a significant impact in the lives of many, particularly in the areas of education, health, and social justice. Their legacy continues to inspire and motivate young men to follow in their footsteps and make a positive impact in their communities.

The Premier Nu Phi Sigma chapter's members excel in service, consistent with the fraternity's motto, "Culture for Service, Service for Humanity". At our chapter, we strive to make a meaningful impact by providing outstanding community service and social programs that specifically cater to the needs and challenges faced by African-American men and boys in Dayton, Ohio. Our vision is to foster a better tomorrow by addressing the issues that affect this community, and we are committed to staying at the forefront of community service to make a positive difference in their lives.

Our chapter is determined to make a significant contribution towards the betterment of our world. We are committed to leaving behind a positive and long-lasting impact that will benefit future generations. Our ultimate goal is to create a legacy that inspires others to follow in our footsteps and make a meaningful difference in the world.
